…A pure joy for listening already just for the brilliant effort of the Welsh BBC Orchestra…The tendency of the young Berkeley for overcomplaisant and simplistic effects in the cello concerto is a bit tiring. Nevertheless: The unflappable Alban Gerhardt knows how to take full advantage of them.
